For over three centuries winemaking has been going on in and around this estate, which was acquired by a small consortium of wine enthusiasts in 1998. It is now a fourty-two hectare estate situated in a valley running in the south-west part of Catalunya. It boasts a brand spanking new winery and maturation hall, which is the envy of most other wineries in the region.

In 2006 the owners of Clos d’Agon secured the services of, arguably, one of the finest red winemakers in the world – Peter Sisseck. No one knows the kind of winemaking quality that can be derived from Catalunya more than Peter Sisseck who is one of the main players in the resurging interest in producing top quality wines from this area. His range of Clos d’Agon wines are currently receiving major critical acclaim from quality wine press around the world.
